A. Position Summary: In this section, please provide a brief (3 - 4 sentences) description that describes the nature and level of work. The goal is to succinctly state why the Position exists.
Planning, scheduling, reporting, and accountability for the individual activities that makes up the information system development lifecycle. Primary liaison between IT and Operations during the analysis phase of the system development lifecycle. Final authority for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of all custom created software and database management systems. Manages the creation and maintenance of entire information systems and individual programs to meet the users evolving needs.
B. Essential Functions: Please list 4-5 statements of what the incumbent(s) are responsible for performing. These are the duties that are essential to why the Position exists. List in order of importance, and at the end of each statement include percent of time spent on that duty over the year, e.g., (20%). 1. Management of projects and administration that include work plans, resource planning and control, writing status reports, and preparing budgets. Conducts regular project and code reviews. (20%)
2. Provides technical guidance to team members with the appropriate methods required to fulfill multiple IT project assignments. Manages development team and ensure that projects remain on schedule and within budget. Prepares various reports and interacts with appropriate business groups on project progress and problems ensuring key milestones are fulfilled. (20%)
3. Maintains, adapts, and updates existing systems to meet user requirements and to enhance program efficiency. Utilizes strong product knowledge to analyze new product requirements and coordinate the activities of the development team. (15%)
4. Prepares reports on the status, operation, and maintenance of system software for use by computer equipment suppliers, systems designers, other programmers and computer operators. (20%)
5. Automates new and/or existing procedures as assigned. Coordinates testing and training for new products and services. Ensures programming and testing activities are conducted per APS Healthcare, Inc. software development process methodology. (15%)

� Minimum 5 years experience effectively managing development teams and/or other development support groups with a demonstrated history of successful project management.
